Micro-Hite DCC

The Brown & Sharpe Micro-Hite® DCC, (Direct Computer Control) coordinate measuring machine is the perfect addition to any operation that requires additional inspection capacity or faster inspection cycle time.

Micro-Hite DCCThe Micro-Hite DCC is a competitively priced, high speed, high accuracy, entry level automated measuring machine that can handle virtually any measurement and inspection application. Use it as a walk-up station for first piece and layout inspection, for machine tool setup or as a flexible gage to control manufacturing processes. Its 17" x 19" x 15.5" (440 mm x 490 mm x 390 mm) measuring volume accommodates 80 percent of parts manufactured today, making the Micro-Hite DCC a practical addition to any shop.

The Micro-Hite DCC incorporates an advanced belt drive system that gives it an acceleration five times faster than similar CMMs, reducing inspection cycle time to a fraction of that of higher priced machines. Thermally compatible materials and components minimize the influence of ambient temperature on measurement results, making the Micro-Hite DCC the perfect measuring system for virtually any application.

Technical Information

Design features

  • Tricision® technology controls bridge axis roll for precise volumetric measuring accuracy.
  • Patented glass scales and non-contact opto-electronic sensors provide high accuracy and repeatability to 2 µm.
  • Lightweight, offset triangular bridge is designed with a low center of gravity and an optimum stiffness-to-mass ratio for improved positioning accuracy.
  • Wide bearing separation assures optimum control of bridge axis roll for precise volumetric measuring accuracy.
  • Computer design techniques, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Modal Analysis, reduce structural deflection and the effects of vibrations/ thermal variations on machine performance.
